Signing Up for TPN.health
Updated over a week ago

Introduction

TPN.health is a digital platform linking behavioral health professionals, treatment facilities, hospitals, and employee wellness programs. The following article provides an overview on who is eligible to join the network, the benefits of becoming a trusted provider, and how to sign up.

Who is eligible for TPN.health?

TPN.health is a HIPAA-compliant, secure, closed digital network for trusted behavioral health providers. Our platform is comprised of individual clinicians, behavioral health professionals, treatment centers, and associations within the behavioral health industry.

When a licensed professional signs up for TPN.health, our clinical team verifies their license with the relevant state board to ensure that every professional on our site meets the criteria to treat clients in their state. People outside of the behavioral health space are welcome to join but will be limited to an events only account.

Licensed Clinicians

To be fully approved for TPN.health, you must have a valid state-issued license in good-standing, and legally be able to accept referrals as an independent private practitioner in the state in which you are licensed or credentialed. State-licensed clinicians, such as clinical social workers, physicians, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and counselors make up most of our network.

Professional Organizations and Associations

We recently launched Organizational Accounts to allow associations and treatment centers their own public profile within the platform. Our goal is to help organizations enhance their marketing efforts and reach within the behavioral health industry by directly connecting them to a network of thousands of trusted providers.

Organizational account admins can invite users to join their organization, host continuing education events, and access an expansive data dashboard, including member license reporting and evaluation response information.

NOTE: If you are interested in creating an account for your organization, please reach out to [email protected] to initiate the process.

Unlicensed Healthcare Professionals

Unlicensed professionals are welcome to join, but account features are limited to continuing education events.

If you are interested in joining TPN.health without a license, or if your license is not currently in good standing, you can always add a license at a later date.

What are the benefits of joining?

Guided by trust and integrity, we strive to create a secure platform with relevant resources for individual clinicians, associations, and organizations within the behavioral health field. You can browse the TPN.health platform with confidence, knowing every clinician you see is an approved and trusted provider.

Within the TPN.health platform, individual clinicians gain access to:

  • Free and unlimited continuing education events, including live and on demand webinars

  • The CE Wallet and CE Tracker tool, where you can stay organized with CE credits earned and renewal requirements

  • An expansive digital network of trusted providers

  • A digital profile to gain visibility within the larger clinical community.

  • Opportunities to deepen professional connections through our clinical engagement platform

  • The ability to create endorsements, and send and receive accurate referrals

TPN.health is free for the individual clinician. When you sign up for TPN.health, you will have access to all profile features as well as Core CE events for free. This is also true if you are a member of a partnered association or treatment center.

How do I apply?

First, navigate to the onboarding page here. The application to TPN.health only takes a couple minutes and includes 5 steps. After this information is submitted, a member of our clinical team will review your information and notify you via email upon approval.

  • Step 1: Basic Information

Here, you will input your first and last name, email address, and create a password. Please ensure your first and last name matches the name listed on your license. We recommend signing up with a email you check often, as registration confirmations and links to evaluations will be sent to this address.

  • Step 3: Additional Information

If you have selected a license-based profession, you will be prompted to input the city you practice in, the State your license was issued, facility type, and NPI number (optional). After selecting your State, options for license name, license/certification board, and license number will appear.

By default, your profile will be public to anyone outside of the network. You may uncheck this box, as shown above, if you do not wish to have your profile public, or to appear in search results. You can also indicate whether you are accepting referrals from clients. For more information, please refer to Public vs. Private Profiles and How to Create a Referral.

All of these settings, including your specific license information, can be edited under Account Settings after registration is complete.

  • Step 4: Specialties

Select up to five specialties from the list provided. Specialties are publicly displayed on your digital profile and are searchable through the Find a Clinician feature. Adding your specialties also provides clinicians with information to create accurate endorsements and referrals.

If you chose to skip this step, you can return to Specialties by navigating to Account Settings after approval. For more information on specialties, please read Building your TPN.health Profile.

  • Step 5: Terms & Conditions

Finally, you will be prompted to agree to the terms and conditions and community norms. You may review or edit the information inputted in the previous steps by clicking back. If you are satisfied with your information and ensured everything is accurate, you may submit the application.

A member of the TPN.health clinical team will review your information to confirm that your license is in good standing, and reach out via email, typically within 24-48 hours. If more information is needed or if there are other problems with confirming your license, a team member will contact you for corrections.

What if I don't see my profession, license name or license board listed?

If your profession title, and/or specific license name and issuing board are not listed in Profession and Additional Information sections, this may indicate TPN.health is not able to verify your specific profession or the license or credential associated with it. Keep in mind, we are in a continual process of expanding the types of professions and licenses we support. You can still register for TPN.health under Other Health Care Professional to access free continuing education webinars and obtain certificates.

If you have a question regarding your profession, license, or the status of your account, please do not hesitate to reach out to [email protected].
